If you are new to the Club, and wondering what Dryland Training is, read on … though our sport takes place in the winter months, training occurs year round. Most people keep their cardiovascular fitness going all year with running, cycling or any other fitness sport. But you can really ramp it up and boost your ski fitness with our coach-led sport specific dryland training. In the fall, we meet once a week, for a two hour outdoor workout. It is a self-paced, circuit workout focusing on endurance, strength, power, and high intensity training. And we stretch! You just need running attire (though we don’t run), some ski poles and a water bottle. Be prepared to sweat!
In the meantime, read our Coaching Tips in this website, including post by BigLifeMag.com for a great summary of training in the off-season.
